Lamart College of Technology is bound by the provisions of the ESOS Act 2000 and the National Code 2007 with regards to maintaining international students on student visa. All students are also bound to comply with all Australian legislation The college must notify DIAC about any student who: - does not maintain an average course attendance of 80% at all times
- does not maintain a satisfactory course progress at all times - this defined as having achieved a competent final result for 50% or more of competency units attempted within a study period (not more than 6 months)
- has their studies deferred, suspended or cancelled either though student or college initiation for any reason including misbehaviour or the non-payment of college fees, early termination, change of provider
- complete their course of study and is no longer a full-time student at the college
All students on student visa are obligated to: - Maintain their current contact details with the college at all times
- Remain current with their OSHC payments
- Provide supporting documentary evidence for sick or any other type of special leave
The college requires all students to also inform the college in writing as to any changes in education placement agent.
